Olympic Flame in Venice

On January 22, the Olympic Flame will reach St Mark’s Square, just 250 metres from our 4-star superior hotel in the historic centre of Venice. A memorable event marking the countdown to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, set in one of the world’s most iconic locations.

Starting from around 4:45 pm, the torchbearers will cross Venice’s historic centre, walking through narrow streets and squares and travelling along the Grand Canal, between Rialto and Accademia.

The arrival in St Mark’s Square is scheduled for 7:00 pm, with the lighting of the Olympic cauldron. A unique opportunity to experience the Olympic spirit up close while immersed in the beauty of the city.

For winter sports lovers, the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics are an unmissable event.

From 6 to 22 February 2026, Cortina d’Ampezzo will host the women’s downhill, slalom and super-G races at the Tofane ski resort, as well as competitions in bobsleigh, luge and curling. The Winter Paralympics will follow, taking place from 6 to 15 March 2026.
