Venice 2027: discover the official dates of its most popular events
Venice always has something new to offer. While 2026 is still underway and many events are waiting to be experienced (discover them here), the official dates for some of the most iconic events of 2027 have already been announced. This is a great opportunity for those who like to plan their trips in advance.
Carnival, the Architecture Biennale and the Boat Show will bring new life to a city that already enchants visitors all year round. Venice surprises in every season thanks to its charm, history and uniqueness
Venice Carnival 2027
23 January - 9 February 2027
Shows on the water, masks and colours enliven the city during one of its most characteristic periods. The Venice Carnival is one of the most popular in the world and still delights citizens and tourists alike.

Venice Architecture Biennale 2027
9 May – 21 November 2027 (pre-opening 6–7 May)
In 2027, Venice will once again take centre stage on the international architectural scene with the 20th International Architecture Exhibition, curated by architects Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu. The Biennale will take place at the Giardini, the Arsenale and various venues across the city, offering a significant opportunity to discover the new trends and ideas that are transforming the way we design and experience spaces.
Venice Boat Show 2027
26 - 30 May 2027
The setting of the Arsenale makes this exhibition one of the most fascinating in Italy. The best of international shipbuilding meets design, innovation and lagoon tradition. A unique opportunity to visit this location, otherwise closed to the public, rich in history, where Venetian “ships” were built and considered the first industrial organisation ante litteram.
Why you should plan your trip in advance
During these events, the city becomes a crossroads of cultures, with a vibrant atmosphere that deserves to be experienced without haste. This is no coincidence: for centuries, Venice has played this role, welcoming merchants, artists and travellers from all over the world. Today, as then, the city is once again a meeting point and hub of international dialogue, this time through art, celebration and shipbuilding tradition.
Planning your visit in advance means:
- securing tickets for exhibitions and special events,
- taking your time to choose the ideal accommodation,
- organising your travel and transport in the best possible way.
